Article: “Today in the Zombieconomy”

Mr. Haque hits the nail, it’s true, but why?
Why does this feel so counter-intuitive with regard to the current economic situation and the need for new sparks that set off new developments?
It does not count for all companies, there is a part which creates high quality and problem solving products and services, but are people become so needy for volatile things in this hasty world, that the majority does not take its time to enjoy and digest it?
Is it short-term focus and strive?
Is it the need to make quick&dirty impacts on people in the increasing transparent world to make sure companies remain visible and on top of mind amidst their target audience?
If so, this would be indeed counter-intuitive when it comes to customer loyalty and perception.
What do you see as a possible cause?
