5 strategic elements that will shape the hotel industry in the years to come.

The 5 strategic elements mentioned in the article are:
1. In search of excellence: bottom line efficiency.
2. Solid is solid, shaky is shaky.
3.  The internet:death of a salesman.
4. Going green out of self-interest.
5. The leisure market: a strategic, high yield segment.

If there is one market / industry that can benefit from the Experience Economy it is definately the leisure market.
I’d say nr. 4 and 5 as positioning and new models/propositions will definately create a gap between the forefront and the rest.
Many do compete on price instead of authentic experiences.

Nr. 3 has become a neccesity.
The first two long for a cry to Operational Excellence, which serves as a basis to keep costs on the level it is acceptable.

What’s your opinion?
