The author poses two possible derivements from Crowdsourcing can be that it will herald the end of creative organizations or that it are signs of a bigger meta-shift from a business point of view.
I believe it will be the latter.
If it will be the end of creative organizations, it will be the end of current and conventional creative organizations, not creativity in itself. Creativity will merely be derived and acquired through different channels, the challenge for creative organizations is to adapt to them and provide competitive advantage.
Furthermore, the Internet becomes more and more integrated and diffuse in our daily lives, everybody can tap into the available global human intelligence.
Will this meta-shift be stopped or ignored?
Given the current situation I don’t believe so. Economical downturns have its positive aspects, this is one of them.
