Nostrum Momentum – Rocca Calascio

Periodically I will change the header with a new photo, of places which impacted me during my visit to them.
The world is filled with memories, expressed throughout our landscapes (in the broadest meaning of the word).

We are the Past, the Present is formed by it and it will shape the Future. Understand thy landscape.

The first photo is taken at a remote place at the Rocca Calascio fort – Abruzzo – Italy.

It is the highest fort of Italy and allegedly the highest fort of Europe.
Hight is 1460 metres above sea-level.

The absolute silence, the immensity of the surroundings and the mountains are magical from the view at Rocca Calascio.
The only sound was the sound of the winds, whispering through the fort, the sensation was, being swallowed by the Godly mountains.
The few hours I spent there where relativational and contemplative, enjoying the savage wind and clouds.

If you are in Abruzzo, visit Rocca Calascio and let yourself be carried away by its history, purpose and landscape.
